We are currently looking for passionate Maître D’ professionals to join our premium London restaurants, including The Ivy Chelsea Garden, The Ivy Market Grill, The Original Ivy, The Ivy Soho, and The Kensington.

Your key responsibilities as Maitre D’:
- Deliver a consistently exceptional guest welcome and departure experience, setting the tone for the entire visit
- Manage reservations, walk-ins and table allocation to maximise covers while maintaining guest comfort and service flow
- Build strong relationships with regular and VIP guests, recognising preferences and ensuring personalised service
- Act as the main point of contact for guest feedback, resolving concerns professionally and in the moment
- Lead and support the reception and hosting team, ensuring service standards, presentation and behaviour reflect The Ivy Collection brand
- Work closely with the management and operations teams to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house, reservations and service teams
- Monitor restaurant pace, guest journey and service timing, adjusting seating and flow as required
- Uphold all brand standards, policies and procedures, including health & safety and compliance requirements
- Support training and development of reception and hosting teams, leading by example at all times
- Represent The Ivy Collection with confidence and professionalism during busy services, events and peak trading periods
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Maitre d’, Head Host, or senior guest-facing front-of-house role within a high-volume, premium or hospitality-led environment
- Strong guest relations and people skills, with the ability to create a warm, confident and personalised welcome
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage naturally with guests, teams and senior stakeholders
- Confident in managing reservations systems, guest flow and table planning in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Experience leading, coaching or supporting reception and hosting teams, leading by example on the floor
- Ability to remain calm, polished and solutions-focused during busy services and peak trading periods
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation and professionalism
- Commercial awareness, with an understanding of maximising covers while protecting the guest experience
- Comfortable handling guest feedback and resolving concerns with discretion and professionalism
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and key trading periods
