Located in the heart of Theatreland, The Ivy’s glamorous restaurant and private dining room feature iconic stained-glass windows, a shimmering central bar, and an art-filled interior - an enduring favourite for refined pre- or post-show dining.

We’re searching for a passionate Sommelier.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team in one of the UK’s most-loved restaurant brands.

Key elements of your role:

• Curate and maintain an exceptional wine list aligned with The Original Ivy West End brand and dining experience.
• Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings to guests, ensuring a personalised and memorable experience.
• Maintain strong knowledge of wines, champagnes, spirits, and beverage trends.
• Support the service team with wine training and product knowledge to enhance overall guest engagement.
• Manage wine inventory, stock rotation, cellar organisation, and ordering processes.
• Work closely with chefs and management on wine pairings, promotions, and special events.
• Ensure proper wine service standards, storage conditions, and presentation are consistently maintained.
• Build strong relationships with guests and help create an elevated, sophisticated dining atmosphere.

About you:

• Previous experience as a Sommelier within a high-end restaurant, luxury hospitality, or fine dining environment.
• Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, vintages, and food pairings.
• WSET certification or equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with strong attention to detail.
• Engage guests confidently with wine recommendations and basic food pairings
• Strong organisational skills and understanding of inventory management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining service excellence.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
