As we bring The Ivy Asia to Glasgow, we are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead this landmark opening from the very beginning. This is a rare opportunity to shape the culture, build and inspire a best-in-class team, and establish a restaurant recognised for outstanding guest experience, operational excellence, and commercial success.


We are seeking a charismatic and commercially driven leader with a proven track record within premium, luxury, or high-volume hospitality. Someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads with presence and passion, and understands how to create a culture where both people and performance flourish.

Key elements of your role as a General Manager Manager:

  • Understand the guest and how to efficiently manage their expectations.
  • To have a great front-of-house presence, be a leader and inspire your team.
  • Fully understand and be able to articulate the financial targets.
  • Establish and maintain realistic budgets and identify ways to improve profitability and manage cost controls effectively.
  • To demonstrate an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the industry
  • Identify business opportunities that have the greatest potential return on investment and are consistent with the company goals and brand.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About you:

  • You have proven previous experience managing a large, structured team in a high-paced, high-volume restaurant
  • You’ll lead by example, inspiring and mentoring your team to work as one and making sure morale and welfare stay as high as the standard of service at all times
  • You have the confidence to go the extra mile
  • You love to wow guests with exceptional service
  • You have excellent English language skills
